HorsePower to re-open on 18 May!

Announcement from HHQ

We are very pleased to announce that the Museum plans to re-open on 18 May in line with Government guidelines.

We have adjusted our opening hours which will now be:
Tuesday: Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm (Last entry 3:30pm)
Saturday: 10:30am – 2:30pm (Last entry 2pm)
Sunday: Closed

As before, we have taken precautions to keep our visitors and staff safe against the risk of COVID-19.

Further details will be published on the website before opening and we will keep reviewing changes as further guidance is published.

You can viewour video here:
Visitors to HorsePower Museum may wonder why there are no exhibits devoted to The 14th/20th King’s Hussars and its predecessor regiments. Its collection used to be displayed in the Museum of Lancashire in Preston until it was closed. The collection was then moved to our store in Winchester and we are working behind the scenes to display it as an integral part of the story of The King’s Royal Hussars. Once our re-design plans are confirmed and funding is available, we will post regular updates on this site and social media.
