Hi,
I'm the son of WO2 Alan Wainwright, a proud member of the Regiment. It has been a sad day; at 06:00CET this morning my father passed away peacefully in his sleep, he had served with the regiment until 1986 when, after leaving Catterick, he took a roll on long service and we were posted to Osnabrück. He left the Army in April 2002 as a WO2 after doing 37.5 years and settled in Holland with my mum.
We offer our sincere condolences to Russ and the family.

Hi Russ
Please accept our deepest sympathies our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
Over the years Alan and I spent many a evening in the messes sharing a glass or two, he was good company and a reliable friend.

Also sad to hear of Alan's passing. Knew him well in the Regt. and when he was in Osnabrück on Long Service. RiP Alan, my condolences to your loved ones.
