The Duxton Hotel is in the middle of the CBD and is a very good hotel. My youngest daughter stayed there to prepare for her wedding. Now ended after he ran away to Canada with a Canadian woman.
If I remember right it is my shout for dinner, so while you are in the Duxton Brenda and I will take you and your good lady out to dinner. Looks like the 9th would be the best for you before you leave on the Indian Pacific. Brenda and I did it once, only from Sydney to Perth in the late 90's. It was magnificent and I know you will enjoy it.
If you are in agreement about dinner let me know and I will pick you up from the Duxton and go on to the restaurant we chose at a time that suits you.

Transferred to Intelligence Corps 67. First posting to Northern Ireland 67 - 70.
Singapore 70 - 71, Hong Kong 71 - 72. NI 72 - 74. NITAT (Northern Ireland Training and Advisory Team) 74 - 76. Berlin 76 - 79. Final Posting, Preston Int and Security Section. Stupidly Retired on 1 Feb 81, and emigrated to Australia. - Real name:
