It has been reported that the government want the UK to return to imperial measurements and they claim that the public want this because of Brexit.
Well as a keen Brexit supporter l herewith declare that l think this would be utterly stupid!
lt is just so much easier to do maths using the metric system than it used to be with feet and inches, rods, perches, chains and furlongs. Not to mention tots, gills, half pints, pints and gallons and as l recall grains, ounces, pounds, cwts and imperial tons.
l Swear we are being very badly managed by backwards thinking ....... !
lf they are leading us at all it sure as hell is the wrong way !

when I went on my daily visit to NOAHsARC I thought the title of your latest was about me. Sorry. I wholeheartedly agree with you. How do these cretins get into power. Although it does seem to be that the public is finally coming to the realisation that politics and mainly politicians utterly SUCK!

Canada is a metric country. However wood is sold and bought in feet and inches. Baking items sold in pounds and ounces. Roads in KM's but people discuss distance in hours and minutes. Kids can't tell the time on a clock and are confused by adults saying for example ' its about a yard away'.
We have US and UK imperial plus metric. Its a mess.
