Hi Bill,

I don't know the details yet about what happened to her. Perhaps, in fact I know you will, tell me all the details. I hope she soon recovers, and sincerely wish her well.

I never met her in person, though I was just behind her, as a spectator, when she was taking the Salute of B Sqn on the runway at Sek Kong in Hong Kong.

Although In 1960 do remember I was in Hohne where, as a clerk in RHQ, I diligently typed the letter which requested HRH if she would graciously become the Colonel in Chief of the Regiment.

Stay Safe and Well (SSAW) an acronym.

It seems that HRH was kicked by a horse ... and had a concusion, l hope not in the head !
A lady with all of her experience and so what can still happen when around animals.

I had the luck to see her several times during my service, at JLR Bovington - Passing out Parade, in Herford, then Höhne, still got the photo somewhere.
Then l met her with my first wife (RiP) at a country fair in Yorkshire, Tony Singer was escorting her and he recognised me. Then both HRH and Margaret Thatcher were at a dinner which l had been invited to, so Rahi managed to have a good chat with HRH as well.
Some guys have all the luck !

Hope HRH recovers soon.
Had the honour to meet and shake hands 3 times:

A real lady of duty for her country and the people.
